Make or update your will
with confidence

Making a will is one of the most important steps you can take to protect the people and plans that matter to you.

As a Lifetime Legal member, you have access to will writing support that keeps the process clear, straightforward and focused on your wishes.

Why having a will matters

Without a valid will, your estate may not be distributed in the way you would expect.

A will allows you to:

  • Decide who benefits from your estate
  • Appoint guardians for children
  • Name executors to carry out your wishes
  • Reduce uncertainty for your family

Putting arrangements in place brings clarity and reassurance, especially at times when your family would benefit most from both.

Support that keeps things simple

Many people delay making a will because they assume it will be complicated or difficult to understand.

Our approach is designed to remove that worry.

You submit an enquiry and share a few details about your situation. We connect you with the appropriate specialist, who will guide you step by step in plain English.

You will receive clear explanations, practical next steps and support focused on your circumstances.

Prices starting from £299.99.

Inheritance and Trusts

Protecting your family’s future

Inheritance planning allows you to set out how your estate should be managed and passed on.

Trust arrangements can help you:

  • Protect assets for children or vulnerable family members
  • Provide structure for future generations
  • Clarify how and when funds are distributed
  • Reduce the risk of misunderstandings or disputes

The aim is to create certainty, so your family knows your intentions clearly.

When should you review your will?

Certain life events are natural points to review or update your will.

These can include:

  • Moving home
  • Marriage or civil partnership
  • Divorce or separation
  • Having children or grandchildren
  • Changes in financial circumstances

If any of these apply to you, it may be a good time to check that your wishes are still clearly reflected.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cost of writing a Will?

Your membership entitles you to a simple Will or simple Mirror Wills. Simple Wills are when you are happy for your estate to pass outright to your chosen beneficiaries as opposed to in Trust, where assets can be protected a bit more.

We do also offer Trust Wills which can protect your assets and ringfence them for our beneficiaries. For example, one of your beneficiaries may be vulnerable to receiving a lump sum of inheritance or you may want to protect your share in your home for someone whilst giving someone the ability to remain there.

Trust Wills start from £299.99 and can always be discussed during our appointment.

You will have your own dedicated Will writer from the start of the process until the end. They will go through your circumstances and wishes with you over a scheduled telephone appointment and prepare you an initial draft. The document can be altered until you are happy, at this stage the final Will is posted out to you for signing. Having the document signed and dated in front of two independent witnesses validates the document and it is legally binding.

You are welcome to return your Will to us for safe storage and storage is covered within your active membership. We would send you a storage certificate and also copies of your signed Wills for your reference.
You can of course keep your Wills at home, we advise making sure they are kept somewhere safe and secure.

Whatever you choose to do, we recommend you make your named Executors aware of where you have chosen to keep the document.

Yes, your Will can be updated as often as you wish. The most recently signed document will take precedence and revoke your previous Will. If you wish to update your Will with Lifetime Legal, we would just ask that you are a member. If you decide to have your Will written elsewhere, we can make a note on our file and release your stored Will back to you if you have chosen to keep this with us.

Confidence for the future

Making a will is not just a legal task. It is a practical way to protect the people you care about and reduce future uncertainty.

As part of your Lifetime Legal membership, you have somewhere reliable to turn when you are ready to take that step.
